Ghoulishly Luxurious Carpets

With Halloween at the end of this month, we thought we’d look at carpets that lend themselves to it. We’ve collected some ghoulishly luxurious carpets together that draws on striking colours like blood red, pumpkin orange and the timeless quality of black and white. Beige and grey carpets have their place but if this blog illustrates anything, it is that there is a world of delicious colour to be had in one’s flooring.

Blood Red and Beautiful

We start with the reds. If you were to make a statement in any room of your house, a red carpet would take you more than halfway there. Two companies we work with carry this colour: Adam Carpets and Brockway Carpets, pictured below.

If Dracula upped sticks from Transilvania and moved to one of the beautiful Victorian properties overlooking Christchurch Park in Ipswich, you could imagine Brockway Carpets Solar Chilli (left) in the lounge area or Adam Carpets’ aptly named Castlemead in the dining room.

Passionate Pumpkin

Moving on to the fiery oranges with two spookalicious examples from Brockway Carpets and Westex Carpets.

The image on the left is from Brockway’s Solar Chill range, a durable wool mix carpet that can withstand any mini ghouls or goblins. The range has 24 colours (including the above Chilli) and something close to black, with Caviar.

The image on the right is from Westex’s Westend Velvet range and is called…. Pumpkin! It’s another wool mix carpet that is so great for family homes, and this range comes in a staggering 80 colours, including purple, yellow and green options.

Timeless Black and White

Just like the horror movies of old, black and white is a classy and timeless combination. Also known as monochrome, which The Carpet Guy has previously covered, it’s a design that works across the traditional, contemporary spectrum.

On the left, we have Lifestyle Floors’ Maison Chic in Carel and Fells Carpets Studio Wilton on the right. Such striking and arresting patterns are not for the faint-hearted but for those looking for that Wow-Factor at home, these could be strong contenders. Both of these carpets are made from polypropylene which means they are bleach-cleanable, ensuring the most challenging stains (red wine and blood) are removed. However, before starting to scrub maniacally at the stain, you call … not Ghostbusters, but a carpet cleaning professional like Rob Reeve from UK Carpet Care. He’s very nice and not scary at all!
