Networking for better business

Well we all know that people buy people and in business this is true. Here at Archway Carpets we believe that networking with other Suffolk businesses mean better service for our customers. Whether we do business with "back office" suppliers or "front of house" companies that will improve your customer experience. Maybe it is neither and just a company we can refer to our customers.

The Meare at Thorpeness, Suffolk

The Meare at Thorpeness, Suffolk

At the end of July Darrell our Sales Director went to Coastal Connections, a evening networking group. Yes he did benefit from a meal from the team at The Meare Tearooms and Emmerdale Farm where the sausages were fantastic and all from Suffolk based Animals. The freshly carved ham was a beautiful colour and tasty.

Meeting with the providers of various services. Sam as ever the most talkative person you will meet, with a fountain of tech knowledge from Measured Brilliance, who provide our website services. The ever lovely Carol from Mad-HR who helps with all things staff and contract related. Jan, the most glamorous business lady in Woodbridge from The Bridge Marketing, connecting you with the right people. The teams from Durrants and Huntingfield Estates. Both Estate agents for all things house sales.

Not forgetting the team at Marshall Hatchick Solicitors that arrange the event but also provide all the things we need from solicitors. As a customer you may not ever need this other business but what will benefit you is the relationships built and the skills gained by dealing with other professional local businesses. All this means just great #fashionforyourfloor

Exciting time for Woodbridge.

For many years two areas of Woodbridge have been awaiting re-development. This year work has started on the Whisstocks boat yard and Nunn's Mill areas of the town.

The new developments will create areas for work, relaxation and living. Along with these areas a new home for the Woodbridge Museum and a fantastic new "Long Shed"

The "Long Shed" will be home to a unique project to house the building of actual replica of the Sutton Hoo Long Boat.

These projects and buildings are due for completion in 2017.

Recycling is the Green way to give you that comfy feel at home!?

So you have decided on that latest #fashionforyourfloor but what underlay to use?

Well there are so many on the market that this can be very confusing for you. So once again we here to help cut that confusion.  Firstly we can discount all those underfloor heating underlays (unless you have underfloor heating, of course! ;) - blog on that soon!

What room is the underlay being used in? This is very important. If it is a low traffic use room ie a bedroom then the most ideal underlay is a recycled foam underlay. Made using reclaimed sponges and foam etc. This gives you a light, soft, delicate and warm feel under foot.

Our Green Step underlay

Now for those high traffic areas. We are talking about the Hall, Lounge and main through rooms. At Archway Carpets we use a rubber crumb underlay. Again this is recycled with 82% of the product made from reclaimed car tyres. So for each 1sqmtr of this underlay the rubber from 1 car tyre is used. Just think how many tyres are reused throughout your home when you use this underlay.

The benefits of this underlay are a firm base for your carpet. Meaning a prolonged life for your new flooring. A firm under foot feeling gives the assured sense of quality to you and your visitors.

So email us at info@archwaycarpets.co.uk to arrange your home visit or call into the store and we can discuss your requirements.

You are our customer even after the Carpet Fitter has left!

As a family business we feel it is very important to make sure you, our customer are happy and should anything not be how it should then we are here to help.

Whether it is days or much longer after the carpet has been fitted. We can help with general maintenance tips. Emergency solutions for that spill. We also can help with a warranty claim or you maybe making a claim on your home insurance for damage to your carpet. No matter what help or advice you may need we are here.

Local business making Big Impressions

Take a look at our Collaboration Wedding Photo Shoot ‘Behind the Scenes‘ film that we produced in March 2016.

The idea was to bring a selection of our members to work together, to get to know each other and to create a collection of top quality marketing material for their own uses.  We had such a fantastic day, which you will see from this fabulous ‘behind the scenes’ film produced by Oliver Mackinlay.

Featuring:

Darrell Smith from Archway Carpets, Corrina Jayne Horne from Ashton Jayne Bridal, Clare Swann from CS Makeup and Hair, Ruth Leach from Ruth Leach Photography, Charlie Mackinlay from Local Values along with our fabulous models: Beth, Gemma Dixon and Nathan Smith.  Location: Glemham Hall. Suit provided by Coes of Ipswich and Flowers supplied by Wholesale Florist Direct.

Our New #Carpet Rep, Gary

It is both a sad yet exciting story for Gary. He was the last prize in the raffle. The sad and lonely bear was over looked by many a winner of the raffle at the Marshall & Hatchick, Coastal Connections networking event at The Galley in Woodbridge. Gary had been tossed away from his home. His previous owner had grown up and no longer need him. So he found himself needing somewhere to live and employment.

It was lucky that Darrell from Archway Carpets was there and he brought the raffle tickets in aid of Headway, Suffolk. Gary was picked by Darrell and instantly the Story of Gary The #Carpet Rep started.  Gary will be giving you the latest #fashionforyourfloor updates and will be passing on his #carpet knowledge.
